Happy 36th to me

Happy birth day to Jason. Daddy gotta go surfin and campin for his birthday. Here we are playing a little game called daddy tunnel. It kinda looks like the most obvious game of where's Waldo except wrong color.
Van spent alot hours on the beach entertaining himself. He is definately a good traveler adapting to all types of situations. I love you buddy.
Need I say smore.

Two things I love so much, smiles and oceans (in that order)

Graeme in Vancouver

I like chance enounters. We left chinatown, got in our car, took a wrong turn (daddy's fault), tried to merge and ended up in back alleyways where a guy in a bicycle ended up next to us. None other than our good friend Graeme from New Haven Ct, who is visiting his parents. So we caught up and got some skimmin in too.

Spruce lake and beyond

Whoever thought of hitchin a ride on a float plane to the high alpine is a genius. It was still a long day in the saddle but it definately felt more remote especially when the pilot dropped us off and flew off into the horizon. Also may I just say that our pilot was cool and his job was pretty cool too.

Scree fields plagued us at the beginning and they were fun but really hard and I am glad they didn't last throughout the day or the day would have been even longer. Above is Adam negotiating some big rocks.
first of many rest stops

So many pictures, must choose one, can't

Here are some more of day one from Warner lake. A lot of high alpine riding which includes, glaciers, trees, no trees, scree, and meadows of wild flowers. No grizzlies were spotted but it was hard to look around when riding these technical trails.

These three above are heading to windy pass.

Day 2 of Spruce Lake bike trip

This ride was a shorter (3-4 hour) ride. It had a hike your bike part at the top and a short but tricky descent on the other side.

Taylor and Burger

Burger is lookin like he packed that shirt on purpose for a glamour shot but he didn't.

Neenut, a beep

Neenut (Gina) came to town and brought lots of smiles and fun for us. We only had one jam packed day so we made the most of it with a Stanley park bike ride, Shannon falls hike, Murrin park raft/swim, and Commercial drive for some awsome pulled pork sandwiches. We were so busy we barely had time for pics of our day. Thanks Neenut,
Van will still throw a Neenut out there once in a while.

Vancouver folk festival

Above are pics with the Mack's (Ben, Amanda, and Owen) at the Vancouver folk festival a few weeks ago. It was hot but we had a great time. Van and Owen have the free flowin hippie dancin down.
